Leafing aluminum flakes orient themselves at or near the surface of the coating film, delivering high visual chrome and metallic brilliance. Non-leafing flakes distribute evenly throughout the paint or plastic matrix, providing excellent abrasion resistance, adhesion, and consistent metallic sheen.
Coarser particle sizes (e.g., 65-75 μm) offer a sparkling, glittery effect with higher individual sparkle visibility, whereas finer particle sizes (e.g., 3-5 μm) produce a smooth, delicate, silky metallic appearance with superior opacity and coverage.
Water covering (cm2/g) measures the surface area coverage capability of leafing aluminum flakes floating on a water surface. A higher value indicates thinner flakes and greater surface coverage efficiency per unit weight.
These grades are engineered for industrial powder coatings, masterbatch manufacturing, screen and gravure printing inks, industrial spraying, automotive coatings, and decorative plastic compounding.
Products are securely packed in standard 20 KG or 25 KG fiber or steel drums with internal polyethylene liners to safeguard against moisture and contamination during transport and storage.
Powders should be stored in tightly sealed original containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor warehouse away from direct sunlight, open flames, excessive heat, and moisture sources.
